Savor Flavor Asia is a new concept starting out in our first location. Currently our kitchen is mostly Chinese wok based but has some other Asian dishes and will be expanding into several Vietnamese dishes soon.

We are seeking an assertive, positive driven person to help launch our multi unit restaurant chain. Growth is leading us to soon be running a commissary kitchen off site and will be moving towards other locations within the next year.

Position Overview: The Kitchen Manager (KM) is responsible for all kitchen operations on an opening, mid- or closing shift, including supervision of all kitchen staff and staffing levels, safety and sanitation, housekeeping, and made from scratch food production related activities. The KM ensures that the shift is run in a smooth manner with a focus on “Quality” while attending to any unexpected problems or emergencies that may arise. The Manager is assigned a work group, Line Cooks, Pep Cooks or Dishwashers. The Manager is responsible for staffing, scheduling, financial goals and staff development of the assigned work group.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

People: The Kitchen Manager oversees kitchen operations during a shift and is responsible for about 6-8 staff within the kitchen. You will be expected to maintain and raise quality and morale of our kitchen staff through select hiring, scheduling, training, developing, mentoring, and managing. Owners strongly believe in being loyal to people and treating them exceptionally with a family like atmosphere that is professional yet, fun and emphasizes greater team work achieved through enjoying your relationships with your co workers.

Quality Profits: The KM has contributory financial responsibility for food costs, labor costs and kitchen supplies for the kitchen. Our KMs set operational goals and plans to achieve or exceed written budgets, then direct staff and utilizes kitchen systems, schedules, tools and procedures to attain those goals

Duties: Maintain food quality and safety standards, overseeing all phases of food procurement, production and service, including, inventory and ordering, storage and rotation, food preparation, recipe adherence, plate presentation, and service and production time standards.

Qualifications:

  • Must have 2 years of kitchen management
  • Experience in a wok based kitchen
  • Strong communication skills
  • Strong leadership skills
  • Speaking Spanish a plus
  • Culinary school background a plus
  • Ability to speak and understand Spanish a plus
  • Able to work ten hour-plus shifts plus ability to stand, sit or walk for extended periods of time
  • Must possess ability to discern product, taste, texture, temperature and presentation and preparation

We are seeking an ASSISTANT MANGER to help establish a structured environment for our first location "Savor Flavor Asia". We are preparing for this change over at our recently acquired restaurant , Neo Tokyo an established eclectic Asian restaurant. Currently we offer little Japanese, but mostly Chinese, Thai and a little Korean.

Savor Flavor Asia is set to be an eclectic Asian Restaurant Concept like no other. This new concept will focus on highlights of Asian food with STRONG emphasize of customer flavor experience, situated in a warm, dramatic, social atmosphere that encourages experimentation. We are breaking the norm in Asian food.

Requirements:

  • 1 Year min Experience in the F&B Field
  • Strong People Skills

Duties: Opening morning shift, Overseeing delivery orders & packing, aiding with dining room, phone/counter orders and delivery driver routing schedules, Quality Assurance.

Savor Flavor Asia is (formally Neo Tokyo as of Friday) is needing cooks/prep with prior Wok cooking experience. We are seeking good, sound, dependable people for long term employment.
